Default how to disable tpms system?

my tpms sensors are dead in my 2006 Lexus is350, the light is constantly on and its very annoying, i know the tpms ecu is behind the headunit but how do i bypass it? which wires do i cut and short? im planning on putting a aftermarket tpms system in the car anyways because the factory one is pretty vague, it just tells you its low and doesn't show individual tire pressure.

Dude, don't cut any wires, lol. Open the cluster and remove the light bulb. Done.

Better yet, just buy new sensors.

Pretty sure the bulb in question is really a small LED soldered to the gauge cluster PCBA...

Two votes for buying new sensors.

OP - Techstream can see tire pressure and temperature. The info is there, we need a better interface to access it. I would also like to know the actual pressure on demand without hooking up extra hardware.

As frustrating as the TPMS system can be in new cars, it's for your own safety and others on the road. Buy new sensors vs trying to damage the computer system turning it off. Blacking out the light itself won't do much since the error message/warning will still be present on the display in the odometer if the sensors have actually failed.
