Default Carbon build up or something else?

Hey guys, so I have an 08 is250 with around 166k miles on it. I recently bought it from a used dealership and did an oil change about 2 months ago and last night I got the low engine light come on briefly then turn off. It did this a couple of times so I stopped and checked the dipstick and it had a couple of drops of oil and looked pretty dry. I went and got some more oil, put 2 quarts in, checked the dipstick again and it’s back at the right level. The low engine light hasn’t flashed since putting more oil, but I was wondering if the increased oil consumption is related to carbon build up? It has only been around 1200 miles since the last oil change. I don’t know if this car has had decarbonization done, but I’m wondering if this is the cause for the unusually high oil use. I’m taking it to the shop on Monday but I was wondering what your thoughts were on this?

It sounds likely. I'd start with replacing spark plugs so you can assess carbon build up at the intake ports and valves.

If build up is found, walnut blast followed by a couple tanks of Yamaha Ring Free and add an oil catch can. All of these topics have history here if you search for them.

Both Ring Free and walnut blasting require oil changes when done.
