While driving my Right Rear door warning light randomly comes on. I have checked the door and it fits well and is closed tightly. Just last night the alarm went off. I could turn off the alarm by hitting the unlock button on my fob but I cant not lock the car with the fob now. I am thinking they are related. Any ideas or suggestions?

 

Did you check the door switch?

 

I know you mentioned a specific door, how do you know? Is thr door switch missing the rubber boot?

Has the car ever been hit in doors before? Doors replaced for any reason? Look at all gaps front and rear on all panels, are they even and do all does sit flush with the adjacent panel?

As a quick test, you can place layers of electrical tape over the striker.

If the door needs adjusted, that is the proper fi unless it is electrical in nature. I'd push the suspect switch 50X to help clean the contacts.
