Hello my name is Juan
2007 is250
Saturday the 12th of June I went to go wash my car, once I finished washing my car I started and died right away and right after that I would just crank I didn’t know what to do so I just towed it home
once I had time I tried resetting ecu (pin 4,13) waited 30 minutes and it did not budge at all it just starts and dies right away and then just cranks, I have code b2799 and sometimes on my display I see (diag vsc 43) I think I fixed that by pressing the brakes quick 8 times under 5 seconds
but as of now I’m stuck and don’t know what to do to be honest
When you tried the pin short 4,13 are you sure you had the correct slots? Also I think the ignition has to he to the "on" position. If you use paper clips they need to be the heavier duty ones. So they can make a good contact. Probably medium size.

okay so here's the thing use like a normal size paper clip and on the dash it shows all the light and stuff it would work before but now it just cranks. so I saw the tech stream link you sent would that work on getting rid of the immobilizer code and potentionaly make the car work...
thank you so much for your help btw

Technically it should work if nothing is interrupting the modules. Stange that it happened after a car wash. I would first check every fuse in the car. Just to make sure everything is getting power when needed.
Also its a must to clear the code with a scan tool. Did you do that before trying to jump the pins?
According to what I found online. This is the possible scenarios to trigger an immobilizer issue.
