'07 IS250 AWD Inconsistent performance
Hi guys, I recently walnut blasted my intake valves and am loving the difference in throttle response I'm getting. But now after about a 1000 miles I've been noticing that my car seems to have inconstant engine performance. I'm not saying this has suddenly developed but its taking me time to notice that on some days my car seems to have a lot better acceleration and seems to run smother though the RPMS, seems especially faster in the lower gears. It feels like the good performance is rarer and not the normal and its taken me a while to say that there is a difference sometimes and I'm not just paranoid about a mechanical issues. I've maybe noticed a pattern that the car feels better if I have driven it a bit that day and then get back to driving it after its sat a little while. There's been about 3 times I've done that and said "hey she's pulling harder then earlier when I was driving."
Could a clogged catalytic converter do anything like this? My line of thinking its a problem there when its colder and warms up to better performance. I just pray its not a transmission issue.... or not an issue at all and I'm just paranoid.

We need more information on the car. How many miles. Any mods on the car currently to speak of? Do you have any way of seeing live data readings...... etc........
The AWD is a slouch period. If you want to make it anyway more bearable to drive. I suggest you'll need the following mods. Rear exhaust section of your choice, ISF steering ECU this removes the nannies. So the car is not constantly trying to cut power while the slightest steering input. Probably exaggerating, but it sure feels that way.
Light weight wheels, and coilovers, and last sway bars, rear chassis brace.
Optional:
Torsen rear deferential
IS350 front brakes upgrade
