I am completely new to Lexus ownership and to this forum. I just purchased a 2011 IS 350 AWD, and I have been looking at updating the navigation.
I have searched all over online with a lot of varying results which is even more confusing than finding nothing at all. I do not have a Lexus dealership near me so that is not of any help either.
Would someone be able to tell me which DVD to buy so that my navigation is updated to the newest possible version for this car?
You won't be able to find a DVD for your car, as the navigation system on the 2011 IS350 is hard drive based. The update has to be performed at the dealer.

Thanks for the info! Do you happen to know a ballpark estimate on what the update costs? The closest Lexus dealer is about 1.5 hours away.
If I recall correctly the update license key is about $195, plus whatever labor your dealer charges to upload the new maps to your car. Probably looking at around $350.
Also be aware that Lexus stopped releasing new annual updates for the generation 6 hardware a few years ago, so your upgrade to the latest available maps would only be to something like 2018 or 2019.
If I were in your shoes, I'd probably save that money and put it towards something like a Grom VL2 to add Android Auto and Car Play to your factory nav hardware.
