TIS Help Needed
Hi, I'm a new member, and I need some help using the TIS system.
I'll give you a little background:
I have owned older Toyota cars for years. I usually do my own repairs, and for the Toyotas I have been able to find factory repair manuals online.
Two years ago I bought my wife a 2012 RX350, and I kinda of fell in love with the Lexus brand.
About a month ago I bought a used 2006 IS350 not knowing much about them. I was really looking for an AWD IS for my son who needs the AWD, but really liked the car once I saw it.
Then, I found a good deal on an 2008 IS250 AWD, so I bought it as well.
They both need a little work, nothing major I think.
Now to my problem with TIS. The IS 250 has some engine codes I need to figure out P0171 and P0174, P0420, P0430.
I have a decent Autel scanner, but of course what is really needed is the factory troubleshooting instructions. I bought a 48 hour pass to TIS thinking I could download the service manual, but from what I see that is not practical.
My questions to the forum are;
Is there a way to download the entire service manuals?
Does Techstream provide access to the manuals offline?
Can Techstream be used without a current professional subscription?
Thanks in advnace for your help.
Paul
