Default Loud AC Fan?

Hey, anybody that has a 2is is it normal for the fan to be loud and always running when the AC is on? Well, when its warmish or cool it doesn't really turn on but when it's hot (cali weather 90f) the fan is ALWAYS on nonstop and it's loud.

+1 on coolant level check. Also check the thermostat. I'm assuming the fan spins back to normal when you turn the a/c off?

I had a fan motor go bad on my 350, and it caused the fan to wobble like crazy and made alot of racket. I would also check the fans to see if there is any play in them.

Coolant levels are good just checked it out. Thermostat seems fine to me also. Temps climb up slowly after a couple mins until reaching halfway point and no other bad symptoms.
&yea they turn on to max speed seems like as soon as I hit on for the AC and turn off when I hit the off button. I uploaded a short vid as an example

A/C on at a standstill on a hot day? Looks totally normal to me. It's just trying to get airflow through the condenser.

Oh ok. It was 79f when the vid was taken I just wasn’t sure if it was normal to stay on at high speed all the time. I can hear it far from away and it’s kinda embarrassing at times when you pull up somewhere and everyone is staring lol. I thought it came on in intervals then shuts offs. I never really noticed until now to be fair since I usually have windows up

I think you are thinking off the old school cars that cycle the A/C compressor like that. The IS has a variable displacement compressor that dynamically adjusts its capacity to meet demands.

What is the temperature of the air coming out of the center vent? If it's not in the mid to upper 40s you might be low on freon.
