Default O2 sensor damage?

I got a check engine light to replace O2 sensor. I ordered a Denso and received the package in the mail but noticed the cap on the bulb came off. There's some white substance on the bulb and minor scratches. Is the sensor still okay? I'm getting it installed next week and I'm hoping I don't need to return it. Please let me know. Thanks!

Nah mate, that's anti seize, the cap was to protect the anti seize being smudged off. You be fine. Remember those things take alot of abuse. Extreme heat, vibrations from car.

Thanks for confirming! I read that the tip should never be touched or get any anti seize (only on threads) on before installing so I was getting worried.
