Default Stereo system issue

I have issue in the stereo system of my Lexus is 250 (2011). It randomly turns of itself while I'm driving.

After along reading on the net. I found many of Lexus owners had this issue. But I didn't find clear idea about it and how to solve it.

Have somebody had the same problem?... any suggestions?

I have had this issue, and i have done a lot of research on it. 99.9% its you AMP located on the right side of your trunk. You can either buy a new one, or something from a part out car just make sure the part numbers match. Second thing you can do is, you can take out the amp take it to a shop that does electrical repairs and they can fix it for you also.

I know you said it randomly turns on and off but it will completely go bust one day. Why this happens is because of the ****ty location of the AMP its next to a vent of some sort and it collects moister overtime it creates a short.

Thanks for answering my questions,

I know AMP problem is a common problem in the IS cars.
I did some research and i found there is a pressure vent in the rear quarter panel behind the side of the rear bumper. that goes bad after a while, the flap is made out of rubber and ends up drying out and cracking and not sealing allowing water to enter the amp area.

But I noticed when this happened the stereo is still working but there is no sound. But on my case, the stereo shut down its self.

The other thing for my car, I opened the trunk and I checked the AMP and there is no water on it + the pressure vent is really good.
