Well I’m deciding between these two tuners. The question to me is what’s the top speed between these tuners ? Like does the 7400 do more than the 7200rpm really do anything when it comes to speed ? Like I want to know the highest top speed in 1st, 2nd ,3rd gear with each tuner. Any answers would be highly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!!

7200 RPM is probably the max I would go, after that you would be risking valve float. For the sake of reliability and longevity of your engine, I would not tune the redline above 7200

that’s the thing, my friend has fbo OV tuned for like 2-3 years now and it’s still running strong. The thing is I don’t know what’s the exact top speed for each gear, one thing I do know is that valve float happens after 7500rpm

He may not be running to redline a lot, or this engine is much more durable than I'm giving it credit for, but even RR Racing recommends not tuning the redline to 7200 if your engine has any issues. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on this subject can weigh in

He revs it every time he encounters a race to redline due to the fact that this engine produces power throughout the entire gear

Like what Amirza786 said, dont go pass 7000-7200 rpm often if you want to keep the car for long. @7400 rpm you are asking for a engine rebuild for sure. Do you plan to take the car to the track?

I have had my OVtune for 3 1/2 years now. Not a single problem with it. I have it set to 7200 and wouldn't go any higher personally. I rarely rev to redline but it's nice to know I could if I needed too.

also can you explain , does the car feel more alive ? How’s the throttle response? Is it right away or a second and then goes off? Feel me I own a 2004 s2000 and when I step on the pedal it goes, do to the fact that it’s driver by wire.

I have a 2010 IS350, when it's in normal mode there is a slight hesitation, but when you put it in ECT pwr mode I don't notice any hesitation and increased throttle response

With the RR Racing Tune, I observed an estimated top speed of 38mph for 1st gear , 63mph for 2nd gear, and 87 mph for 3rd gear.

I have the OV Tune in my IS350 with 7200 rpm redline and I can tell you that there's no pull above 7100rpm. The speed just stays constant.
