I didn't see this in the recall thread but I know there is a known recall issue with the 2IS model where the airbags did not deploy.
I am looking at a 2IS that had the airbag recall fixed by Lexus. Does this mean they are guaranteed to deploy? Or can the problem still be there?

The recall was about that whole Takata airbag thing a few years ago where you'd be taking some shrapnel to the face instead of them not deploying. "The inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, temperature and temperature cycling."

The other somewhat related airbag thing with the IS was the harness being faulty and resulting in an SRS light, but the airbags would still deploy properly according to Lexus. They issued a warranty enhancement for those who have their SRS light on, that specific one was called ZLJ in the US. Some cars will have had their coverage for this specific issue expired by now, I know mine ended June 12th of this year, but my car never exhibited this problem so Lexus would not repair it.
