Question Oil Filter?

2007 Lexus IS250 RWD

I'm going to get ready for a oil change and was wondering to get the Toyota OEM oil filter or a K&N HP-7023 oil filter. Also on almost every webpage says the 04152-YZZA5 wont fit but on the Lexus of Roseville webpage it says that the 04152-YZZA5 and the 04152-YZZA3 both fit as the 04152YZZA5 comes with that plastic thing and also a smaller o-ring.

Bonus Points: I've always used Mobil1 Full Syn but was looking at possible Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Full Syn.. anyone use either?

I just changed mine myself. I used the OEM filter and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, before it was Castrol Edge or whatever the dealer put. I think the YZZA5 is for AWD or something I can’t remember. I ordered a box of the YZZA3

Thanks.. I got the right one. I got a yzza3 from eBay but it only had one o-ring so I thought it might be missing a piece. I was leaking a little mire towards the Pennzoil.

nah you should be good. I’m just testing out different oils to see which one she likes better. Probably will try Mobil 1 next

Also make sure you got some new crush washers/gaskets for the drain plug. My old one was kind of stuck on there so I had to pick it off with a Flathead
