I've searched high and low on forums, google, and even talked to my local Lexus dealer and I can't figure out where my Crankshaft Position Sensor is. I'm throwing a P0335 code and I need to replace it. Advice please?
Its gotta be near the main crank pulley. You'll probably have to get under the car and look up. Should be a 1 bolt connector. Similarly to a camshaft sensor. I think on the 2nd gen ISX50. The AC compressor is blocking it from view.
I'll take another look. I wasn't able to see anything at first but, I could always be overlooking it.
I'm pretty sure it is not in the front timing cover. So as Mike suggested, look further back on the block itself. These are pretty well protected compared to the old days. If you had work done down low, retrace steps.
You pose this in the ISF forum?
does anyone have a picture of where it is or know if you have to remove anything to replace it?
Did you look at that link? Its in the oil pan, goes in at an angle from the bottom and points at the crank. Looks to enter on the right side. Reference is from drivers seat. Looking ahead.
It's 11401G in this diagram. JM2C ,but those hardly ever fail. More likely a connection or rodent issue.
