hello guys I want to get more power out of my car and I was wondering what are maybe some of the top 3 best performance intakes?

An intake isn't going to do nothing on these cars besides make more noise (and if you want noise, the 3IS's intake's sound generator would fix that right up for you), and in some cases, lose power (mainly short rams that pull hot air from the engine bay). You might get 5hp from the F-Sport or JoeZ intakes, but again, you won't notice a difference at all besides more sound. You're better off putting money into things that actually matter, such as headers, an exhaust, super/turbocharging, a tune (I believe RRacing and OrangeVirus are the only ones with a tune currently?), etc.

A gain or decrease of the 5hp won’t be felt on the ol butt dyno. Real power adders are listed above. The tune Would be the best value @500.00 for quite a few ponies.

For performance, my Top 3 recommendations are the F-Sport Intake kit, the JoeZ intake pipe, or the RR Racing intake pipe. Note that all three utilize the stock intake box design to minimize engine bay heat soak compared to the typical aftermarket short air intake design.

I've done multiple datalogs comparing the Mass Air Flow (MAF) g/s readings between the 3IS350 F-Sport intake pipe w/ sound generator vs the simpler design of the JoeZ intake pipe under similar weather conditions. I consistently logged an average MAF gain of 3-5 g/s with the JoeZ intake pipe over the OEM 3IS350 intake pipe which should equate to about 4-6 RWHP.

As stated above, unfortunately aftermarket intakes are a gimmick and tend to hinder performance. If you look at the overall designs they tend to have the air filter still in the engine bay pulling hot air in rather than fresh outside air. Obviously heat soaked air and high IAT's will cause a decrease in performance.

We do however have a carbon intake which will reduce heat soak over the OE plastic, match that with our tune and a drop in filter you are good to go!

Not sure but you can always modify your lower intake box too create a secondary intake hole behind the headlight.

Here's a comparison of a modified OEM lower intake box to the F-Sport version.

How did you find it? Is it the same do you think? I'm planning on doing that too

So the OEM F Sport intake kit is the best solution over stock?
