2008 IS 250 Trying to Program 2nd Smart Key
I just bought a used 2008 IS 250 with 144,000 miles about 2 months ago. It came from a dealer in Chicago and of course it only came with one key fob (push button start).
You probably know what's coming next...
I wanted to have another key for the car so I found one that had the same exact FCC codes on the back cover on ebay. I opened up both the working key fob and the new one and looked at the circuit boards and they both have the exact same circuit board ID (only thing different was one of them had a slightly different date code on it but I don't think that is a problem). The new key fob has a battery in it and the light lights up when any buttons are pressed so I have no reason to believe there are any problems with it.
In my research I also saw that the program needed to program the key to the car is the Toyota TIS TechStream software and ODBII/USB cable. So I ordered one of those off ebay as well.
When watching youtube videos of people using this software to program a new key to their car it shows them going into the Smart Access system and a button called "Utilities" appears and they go on to perform the procedure of adding a key to the car's recognized set of keys.
My problem comes after I go into the Smart Access part of the program. I don't ever see the "Utilities" button show up. Does anyone know if I am doing this procedure incorrectly or if this sounds more like a problem with the software?
I have posted a couple snapshots of my screens. They aren't the best resolution so my appologies for that.
Thanks - Paul

Just looked at mine, it seems utility is always present. You can PM me but deal is this thread will get closed if the software in question did not come from a legitimate source.
