Default 2012 Swapping 18" to 17" help

Im about to be driving a lot more then normal , So mi dropping back from Stock 2012 18"s staggered F-Spot set-up to 17" x 8 all the way around thinking 235/45r17 Michelin pilot sport a/s 3+ ( looking for the best Wet and Quite tire i can get )
Having a hard time finding wheels i like ( gunmetal 5 spoke on Ultra White F-Spot) , but what offset should i be looking for on all 4 wheels ??
The change is because i need to get a lot better life out of the tires and more comfort in the ride.

all helpful input is very much welcome !!
thx

I went from the stock 18" staggered setup to the 17" stock wheels with 235/45R17 tires.. Much more convenient (rotation) and more comfortable ride. You can find the stock 17s on craigslist or ebay pretty cheap or from your local wrecking yard but I can pretty much guarantee you'll have to get them refinished.

factory wheel sizing with offset:
17 x 8 JJ, 45mm (both AWD/RWD)
18 x 8 JJ 45mm (both AWD/RWD)
18 x 8.5 JJ 50mm (RWD's rear)
