I just ordered a set of 18x9.5 Volks, and I’m curious how much sidewall is needed to protect from bending wheels do to potholes. What is your experience?
Id like to run 265/35/18, but that is not much sidewall for streets that are similar to New York City. What sizes do you run and with what results? Please also specify wheel width to consider stretch / bulge

I am not lowered, but eventually may be. They are 9.5 et 45 square. It’s on an ISF. I’m thinking either 265/35 (lightest and fastest), 275/35, or 265/40.
Not an aggressive setup at all. You should be fine; and I'd personally go with the smallest width tire would be able to successfully transfer the power to the ground. Lighter and cheaper (usually).
