Eh, I would say the issue with the sensor is a possible lazy tech who doesn't spin the harness with the sensor itself which can damage the wires. I believe they change the gaskets on whatever they take off at the same time as well (intake manifold). I believe mine went south about a year or so after having the recall done in the winter, so that was fun. It's not that bad of a job to replace it since you might as well do some other work while you're in there (spark plugs), just a PITA if you don't have the right tools (specifically, a long 5mm hex key/t-handle/whatever for the manifold).

You can search Google it's the first link that pops up. The PDF I have is too large to attach here. Link 2 is for the sensor recall.

That looks like it is for a 250. This recall only affected the 350s. Is the procedure the same?

It's showing the IS350, and GS350 are you looking at the correct pages?

It's showing for the IS250 06-08.

Yes here it is: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/200...9V020-5505.pdf

It's for 06-08 but should be the same for all 2nd gen IS/2IS

I'm due for the airbag, furl sensor. I'm even due for the windshield wiper nut recall. Still I haven't tooken my car to them.
If I knew this would happen, I would have never brought it in either... I already had my airbag recall handled through them last year

Thanks. I think the one you provided a link to was for an older recall in 2009 that also involved the fuel delivery pipe (Recall #9LA).

The recent fuel rail recall for the IS350 was labeled as JLF. The procedures are probably the same though.

I found the JFL with no instructions. So yeah I'm sure it's probably the same process.

So I saw this in another thread for 08 ISF not starting and am thinking of trying this out this weekend. However, I'm trying to figure out what tools I would need to accomplish this. From what he was told by Lexus, this would cost him $4,200 to replace a few parts...

You just need a medium size paper clip to short out the 2 terminas under the dash OBD2 port. I did a zero point calibration I was doing awhile back on my AWD. Though I had to find the correct pin locations. It's at your own risk. You must verify the correct pins to short for your needs. I'll leave my link here: Post #10 that's the diagram I found online.
Just verify which pins you need to short. I'm in now way responsible if something goes south. Though you will still need techstream to finish the procedure.

Thanks MikeFig82. Is it similar to this video here?

I saw that and planned on trying that out since he mentioned to let the keys sit for 30 mins
