Default Erasing Lost Key Fobs

Just wanted to start a new thread in case anyone was interested. I recently bought a used IS and was only given one key fob. I wanted to delete all the old key fobs that were not provided just for peace of mind.

I used techstream and it only took about 3 minutes using the code erasure function. I deleted all of the old key fobs apart from the one I currently have and was able to add 2 new key fobs I got on ebay.

The process is very straight forward. Turn your car on, load up techstream, go to the erasure option, techstream prompts you that your ignition has to be on. Once you start the process, you just have to hold your key fob to the start button, after the car beeps you are all set. The old key fobs have been deleted and only the one you hold to the start button remains.

Hope this helps!

To use it legally requires a subscription to TIS at the professional diagnostic level. https://techinfo.toyota.com/techInfo...ite&_nfpb=true
