Overfilled oil IS350
Oil was overfilled by about 1/2 quart. Is this a big deal for the 2gr-fse? I know some engines don’t take well to overfilling. I have driven it about 200 miles like this.
It was with filter. Checking oil when cold the dipstick reads about a quarter inch over the full mark on the front side of the dipstick and about a half inch over the full line on the back side of the dipstick.
The good news is these have a windage tray between the reciprocating crank and the oil pan so it would help reduce foaming if the oil were so high as to be struck by the crank. That said, on startup it may in fact be high enough to make contact and lower as the oil is placed into circulation.... I'd be more concerned if it were a full qt!
Does your engine consume oil between changes? As in it will lower itself over time.

Ok so I drained a half quart of oil and it is reading about 1/8 inch below the full line now. Thanks for your input everyone and according to 2013FSport it seems unlikely that the engine was compromised from being .5 quarts over which was my main concern.
better over than under, but I would drain a tad just to get to the max line. cornering or braking can cause oil to go places or get sucked up where it shouldn't.
between min and max on the dip stick is about 1 quart of oil.
