There's a rattling noise that is coming from the engine. Was just wondering if it was normal or should I be concern? The noise wasn't there 3 days ago when I bought it.

That sounds normal, it's the direct injection.

I wouldn't worry about carbon buildup on your car at all. I got my 07 is250 with 106k miles on it without carbon buildup recall. It idled rough couple times, I installed a oil catch can right away, and Sea Foam it before every oil change. The oil catch can did its job, the first 2k miles after the install it filtered out tons of gunk from the past 100k miles, and since then it's only caught normal oil. She is now running fine and never idle rough again.

If you install a oil catch can on 20k miles, I'm sure it will go over 200k. Just remember rev it up on the highway maybe twice a month.

 

 

Def return and get a 350. I got mine in October with 28k miles.. At 35 now no issue's but I know it will come eventually. I will sell probably end of next year and get a 350..
