Default Did I do damage to my is350?

My IS350 was stored for a little over 2 months on empty. Do you think this was enough time to cause damage?

Thanks,

Add some Techron and fill it full. See what happens. Was it left in an environment where the temp swings more than +/-15°F... If temps are stable condensation build up is less of a factor.

What sort of 'damage' are you thinking of? My IS250 can go 6-8 weeks without being used with no problem, just make sure battery is tip top or if poss connected to a intelligent charger.

In olden days the fuel tanks were made of sheet steel. A full tank kept the inner surface
wet and no oxygen could get to it...no rust. Since you can not cheaply coat the surface
against gasoline if you let it sit empty you eventually got rust on the inside of the tank.

Secondary consideration is that a full tank has little air (oxygen again) while a not quite
empty tank has what? 14 parts air to 1 part gasoline? The perfect mixture for an engine
to burn? Boom Boom out go the lights?

All's well now with your IS and all modern cars, the tanks are plastic. Lighter, safer, easy
to mold into weird underbody shapes, won't rust.

Plastic is best for possible corrosion problems yes But when any car is built in the factory the fuel tank probably never gets filled until its first owner takes it on, this could be a lot lot longer then 2 months for sure.

Thank you all for the replies. I was just worried after reading you shouldnt leave a car stored on empty. I just filled up my car and added some stabil for the remainder of the winter.

You might have been reading about those using E85 fuels. THEY would have problems after two months...maybe. You'll be fine. But adding the Stabil is a good idea regardless.
