Default Need help on this please.....

so my radiator hose on the left side of the radiator cap came off. Don’t know why but it did. So that’s not what I need help on. It’s this bolt that I seen on the very bottom of the engine where the oil filter is at. Please see pics. I’ve got no idea where it’s from so I’m asking you guys what you guys think. I’m stumped. It’s about 4.5 to 5 inches in length. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

It looks like one of the steering rack bolts. If you remove the bottom cover underneath the car check both sides of the rack. It has 2 19mm bolts holding it.

Judging from the size, it'll be from the chassis somewhere. Yes, check the rack and the front suspension.

Have you had a shop do any work on your car and what was it exactly?

I'm assuming you had it replaced since it's all fancy and shiny looking now. I can't believe someone forgot to put the bolt back.

believe it or not.... that’s the original. 😁 when it comes to this ride I am real hesitant on letting just any body work on it but yea that is the original.

Well how in blue blazes did it end up on the bottom engine covers? Makes no sense it could have bounced up there based on where it's home is.

I really don’t like anyone touching my car at all. 1 year I had to renew registration and it wouldn’t let me because I needed a certain recall done in order to get my tags. Well I took it to Fresno Lexus and I decided to go ahead and just get all the recalls done at once but not before talking with the service manager letting him know that I am really picky and that I hesitate letting anyone work on this car. Well he reassured me that they will take care of my car. So mind you I took it in at 151450 miles. Well this was about 1 year and a half ago now. Well I rarely drive this car it’s more a garage car then anything else at 152300 miles right now. Well a radiator hose comes off which then I see the bolt on the bottom of the engine and now I hear a ticking noise in the engine when running like something is loose in there. Which brings me back to I DONT TRUST NO-ONE TOUCHING MY CAR. F-in dealership wants me to go back so they can work on my car so they can charge me an arm and a leg. WTF. Now me and my dad are gonna have to figure out WTF that noise in the engine is. I hate the dealership.

and I honestly think they are the ones that loosened the radiator hose so it can come off and loosened up the rack and pinion bolt.
