Default Need your help, does RC-350 have LSD??

All,
I found what I thought was a great deal but the pictures lead me to believe this car does not have a Torsen LSD like the seller claims.

Can someone decode the VIN and tell me if this 2016 RC-350 F-Sport has an LSD like the seller claims?

Thanks!
VIN # JTHHE5BC4G5013841

Look here, I'm pretty sure a Torsen LSD will not have shaft to hold spider gears like this. This indicates its an open diff and of no use to me. A Torsen locker has worm gears and should not have a visible shaft like this. Does everyone agree on that?

It seems like we are looking at this; see attached.

But there is a design having a cross shaft. See twin differential near the bottom.

The torsen is only on the 350 f-sport. I don’t know the part numbers. If you ask to take pics of innards with the cover removed, you’ll be able to tell right away.

Also the final drive is different, are you swapping it?

The RC350 uses a T2 (Type B) Torsen, it shouldn't have a cross piece. The attachment you gave isn't specific to that part number, it's actually a diagram of a non-LSD unit from the parts catalog.

The VIN is for an RC350 F-Sport RWD, however that differential definitely doesn't look like the Torsen.

Oh, my mistake, it’s a $390 option on a f-sport packaged car. I’m sure no dealers added it when they built these cars. Rare as hens teeth, as they say. Looks like standard on the 18 IS350 f-sport though.

Thanks Jeff!!
Of all the torsen type lockers that I have seen that view into the splines does not typically have a cross shaft like the actual picture from the seller.×

Most LSD torsen units I have seen have a blind hole so this makes me suspect it is not being advertised correctly. I did find one lexus document that said, new for 2016 all F-Sport RWD get an LSD but I don't know how toyota implemented their use of it... So, if you have looked into the splines of an LSD and there is no shaft seen, that is proof enough for me.

Yes, diagram was from a Non-LSD open diff.
Yes, gear swaps and setup are in the future when I find a proper LSD for the 2IS. I have not seen anything having a 4.083:1 gear w/LSD like our 2IS RWD...

The actual carrier/LSD is 41301-53051
Complete housing/case w/ 3.13:1 ratio and LSD: 41110-24270

That's interesting they finally have an LSD option on the IS350... Might have to take a look at one if my dealer has any on the lot with the LSD.

So, of the few who have installed an OEM LSD no one recalls if it has a visble shaft as seen through axle entry???

Buyer be ware. RC350 diff is for sale again listed as an LSD but the VIN says otherwise.... For $299 you can have a boat anchor!

Of course the current sale does not list the VIN and the first sale, the vin was missing a character... And no returns! Seller is in Florida and the housing is busted.
Crooks man.....
