IS350 Rebuild
hello all. I just had a question regarding a rebuild. I’m getting an IS350 and plan to eventually rebuild the engine. When this is being done, do you usually just do the head up, or the whole thing? What’s the perks to just the head, vs whole thing being rebuilt? What’s the price roughly as well? I might have it bored over a little bit, main goal is 400hp after headers, exhaust, and tune. All info is appreciated.

Build depends on actual needs. What specs are you building too? Engine management is likely your first big hurdle.
If other than N/A, you may need to lower the compression to get the most gains from boost. This is gonna be an expensive path!
Also, I could have swore I read these could not be bored??? Not sure tho...

This is the best build I’ve seen so far. Best of luck to you because there aren’t many builds out there. You could use the 1gr crank, some custom pistons and porting. With tune and headers I would think 350 whp NA would be possible, but spendy. Let us know how it goes.
