Default Hot air from dash vents

Anyone with IS350 getting hot air blowing in from dash air vents? Same as most cars there are some small amount of air flowing in even when the fan is turned off. However, no matter the outside temperature it always feels warm and eventually will get uncomfortable enough to force opening the window even on cooler days. In other cars I've owned, the vent air temp will depend on the outside temp but not in this car. Would it be because the engine is actually running too hot? The temp gauge is always normal but it does appear the radiator fan comes on more frequently with this car than others I've owned.

It is because the vents are close to the engine, which is hot. So of course the "natural" air is going to be warm or hot.

Check the door on your air mixer behind the glove compartment. I've read that the actuator arm can break and screw up the mix of air in various ways.

But isn't that same for most all cars (except mid/rear engine cars of course)? All other cars I've owned never had this same issue. When outside temp is cool/cold the air from the vents were similarly cool/cold not warm if temp setting wasn't explicitly set to warm.

This issue is bit of a hassle because I have to either have the window/roof slightly open all the time which increase the noise inside or have the climate control always turned on. I'm trying to figure out if this is just normal for these cars or I should really have the ventilation system checked out.

Agreed, not normal. Sounds like something is potentially stuck open/lodged and letting air pass.

The dash on these gets really hot, even when not much sun. This causes heat soak residual air to come out warm for some time but it should go away.
If it doesnt leave the aircon on auto and see if it cools down
