Engine Vibration after valve spring and cam gear recall
Held out for a long time but finally got the valve spring and cam gear recall performed on my 08 IS350. Engine has 66,000 miles and ran flawlessly. After recall was performed I noticed a slight vibration through the steering wheel at idle. At first I thought it was related to the AC being on, now I notice it anytime the car is at idle and only when the car is in drive. When in neutral its smooth as can be. Makes me think engine/transmission mounts however this started immediately after the recall was performed. Can anyone think of anything it could be? I was happy with how the car ran after the recall however I am concerned regarding longevity seems like everything was kind of just thrown back together (loose clips, clamps missing off of wiring harnesses) Anyone have any issues down the road related to recalls performed? Thanks for the help!

You could warm it up, pull the plugs and do compression test. If one hole is not carrying it's weight power output wise, it can induce a vibration. This could be as simple as a bad plug, weak spark or even a fuel delivery issue. Hard to narrow down tho!
A cylinder power balance test would be preferred if you can find a place able... it immediately narrows it down to the cylinder and this test includes its ability to make power...
Can you confirm they didn't pull the engine?

I've had other cars where the motor mounts were loosened for some repair and had a vibration afterwards. They had to go back and re-align the motor mounts to get rid of the vibration.

Thanks for the replies, I'm pretty sure they didn't pull engine but thats a great question. Gonna double check on that and get it back in to have it checked out. Thanks again for the replies!
