My rear 255/40R18 Sumitomos HTR P02 have 8/32 tread left. I know they are all season but whats the consensus on leaving those two and just replacing the front two with something better.. would it cause issues if the rears were XL and the fronts were SL?

I have Hankook S1 Noble2 on mine. All Season but perform like summer tires and durability and wet traction of all seasons. Bought em 3 years ago and have about another 6-8 mos left and we have crappy roads in the Bay Area. That's about 48k miles on them. Warranty is 50K. Very quiet, great in the wet and dry and very comfortable. I'm gonna replace them with the same tires next year. Costs about 850 mounted that's the staggered 18" set for the IS350.

I've got Pirelli P7 Cinturato All Season Plus, all around, for the last two months. I really, really like them on my GS 350---super quiet and really do hug the road. Probably the best tires I've bought in my life, and I've been buying tires for 40 years. I went to Discount Tire and got a 10-year warranty, which they said that if I ever get a flat on a tire during the next decade, and they can't replace the new tire and stay within 2/32" tolerance with the other three tires--they will give me four new tires for free. I looked at Goodyear Comfortred was my runner up, but for overall solid tire performance on a Lexus, the Pirelli is a real winner.
