Default nav to ml nav aux problem

2006 is250 with ML unit aux port won't change. stays in CD mode.

bought is250 with missing nav. The car had a rear camera so I assumed original nav or Ml nav would work.
new in box ml nav won in eBay bid. I explain this because it has come to my attention that you cannot replace a normal nav with an ml nav. Everything else works very well, I even get good base from the woofer. Though my Aux won't switch, stays on cd and won't play DVDs.

I read a thread in which you change and customize wires. ***HOW***

Read thread #4 from whitebeast

I addressed the issue by:
Changing the wires. Using a 3.5mm jack every time.
Checked the fuses only one burnt is my cigarette lighter.
Did the Fm turn off car turn on car turn on audio still on FM and switch to aux.
Tired it with something plugged in a playing, and something plugged in and charging.
Is there a metal finger inside that is out of reach?
or is something fried? and how would I know its fried?

I did these all unplugged and plugged.

the AUX plug was never working and bought the car used. only has 38000 on it.

anyway of fixing it?

All you need is buy additional cable ( from gs350) if you don’t want to re-pin wiring. I would have to check on part number for you.

If you can at least show me pictures of which wires I need to re pinned for aux! That would be the most useful. Been crying about the aux since day one.

Aux first for sure! tried to find a thread on how to wire it but no luck.
