2007 Lexus IS 250 RWD options for flywheel and/or clutch
Hello, I need some help please.
I had the clutch replaced with OEM and the flywheel machined in Feb/Mar 2017 due to what was thought of slipping of the original clutch.
Afterwards, a new noise occurred that the mechanic said must be from the flywheel.
Now I'm trying to find an alternative to the highly expensive OEM dual mass flywheel from the dealership.
One possibility could be switching to single mass flywheel, but from what I'm reading then I'll also need a different clutch.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to purchase and where is a reliable online source?
The car was originally from USA, but now is in BC, Canada.
Thanks in advance.

I just installed the setup in my 2006 Lexus IS250 Manual with the Fidanza lightweight flywheel and Spec stage 1 clutch kit. So far the revs are a lot quicker and shifts are smoother and grab harder too. The only problem I’ve had with this setup is now, whenever I lay into the throttle within any of the gears above second gear, when the revs get between 2k-2,700k rpm if you go about half throttle the transmission makes a horrible noise like the gears are grinding or something. Is there anyone else with this setup having this issue? If so do you know a solution or is it permanent?
Thanks
Thanks
