I need some help !
There is a 2007 Lexus Is 250 for sale with 155000 miles on it. They want 8500 for it and it has some hail damage and minor paint work required. I was wondering what the long term reliability would be for this car. I was willing to offer 5000. I'm going to need a car to go to work and college soon and would this car be a good one ?
I see the damage on the rear bumper there, but where is the hail damage? Perhaps it's not easy to see with the white pearl paint. My brother's dark blue TL recently was "totalled" due to hail damage; and his dents you can EASILY see from a distance.

If it were me, id get a honda accord. If youre dead set on getting an IS to drive, ill sell you one of mine. At least you would know the work has been done.
The problem with that car you listed is hail, and you have no maint records. Do you know of the carbon build up issue? Has it been address? Water pump? Spark plugs?
If the answer is no to that are you willing to shell out to repair it. Thats what id be concerned for in your case. They are gorgeous cars, however with no history and damage as such....id pass
