The rear view mirror and the rain sensor just fell down. It looks like the glue is no longer working. I took the car to the dealer and was told there is no way these things can be attached back to the windshield. The only thing I can do is to replace the windshield. I just don't understand wouldn't they need to attach/glue these two when a new windshield is installed? What should I do? Any suggestions?

That seems really strange. Try calling a few other dealers in the area and asking the service department how they would fix it.

Im O.C.D. about wiper speed and hate the rain sensing wipers. They're either too fast or too slow.

Wouldn't hurt calling a place that installs windshields and ask them what they think their fix would be.

Clear RTV silicone may be a route to fix it. You'll want to be careful though.

I had this happen to me on my previous car and an auto glass place was able to glue it back on fairly easily after cleaning it off. Way cheaper than a new windshield too. Good luck!
