You should try manually tracking your MPG. I use an app which logs the odometer milage, gallons filled, and price per gallon. I find the car's system isn't accurate in calculating MPG.
I hand calculated the last tank in my IS350 and compared it to the tank avg and it was pretty close. Tank avg read 25.3 and I hand calculated 25.05. 33 is good though! I still want to try driving around in snow mode for a tank and see if it really helps. Bogging the motor too much could lose mpg too.
Oddly enough, on my car, I find that the displayed MPG on the trip computer is conservative, and my hand-calculated mileage is actually about .5 to 1 MPG better than what is displayed.

I think this will vary depending on tire sizes. My car has stock wheels and tires.
