Default Interior Ambient lighting?

I've searched all over and can't find anything, maybe I've missed it. But has anybody done or seen the ambient lighting changed on an IS. We have a GS350 and they have the small lighting up top similiar to the IS but it changes from White/Red/Blue depending on what mode you're in. I would like to know if it's possible to change the White in the IS to a red or blue?

I think you mean that mini LED that shines down on the center console at night? My CT has the red/blue depending on mode. I think that is on the newer gen models, There have been a few people who changed their radio LEDs from green to blue/white so I would say it is possible, don't think I've ever seen it done though.

yes. That's exactly what I'm talking about. It's on all the new Lexus models I believe, even the new IS. But was wondering if anybody has changed it in our 2nd gen. I was installing LED's in my vehicle, and didn't notice a place to remove or instal anew one for that. It looked like it was under the board.

yeah I believe similarly to the radio/nav unit it would need to be soldered

The overhead light is a dim white LED. But yeah all the dash lights are a ugly green. I'd imagine the overhead light is soldered.

No idea how it would look but maybe a tiny piece of blue lens tint? Maybe if anyone has some laying around give it a shot?

lol funny you mention that that because I was just thinking the same thing as I was driving 20 minutes ago. I looked around for something in my car to test with, but I had nothing.

Eh, I would imagine putting a colored lens over an already dim light would most likely diminish the light enough to not even see it.

yeah, the light is already hard enough to see. But it would at least give you an idea of how it would look.
