Advice for Lowering 2012 IS350 AWD
Hi, new member here, i have a 2012 IS350 AWD, i love how you guys lowered your cars so much, but reading the forum i see lowering on an AWD will have issue like Driveshaft/Axle break or tone boots or vibration, anyone here lowered their 2011+ IS350 AWD that had issue ? or don't have issue ? may i ask what kind of lowering springs you got ? F-sport / H&R / ???? also what the major issue i should look after for lowering an AWD 2012 IS350 ?
i have another question about tires, ok my brand new Winter tires brand (Polaris bruum 3 ) Directional tires making noise lately, tires shop said it's normal for Directional tires ? is that true ? my all season Yokohama tires also makes similar noise and its also directional, 1st mechanic told me new directional tires will be quiet, ok brand new winter tires directional making same noise, so what's the deal here ? please guild me.

When I was doing my research for lowering my 07 IS250 AWD I came across a couple of points that say that 25 or 24.5 inch ground to fender should be the lowest you should go. Something about the boots tearing quickly if you go lower and even more idle vibrations. Many people here have the F-Sport and like them. I think road magnet has the springs with the lowest drop - 2 inch drop. I personally skipped springs and went for coilovers. A lot of people regret lowering springs because they go for coilovers eventually anyway, with coilovers having a properly matched shock and spring with adjustable ride height and dampening settings, and lowering springs usually causing premature wear.
Can't help you with your tire question though

Are you looking to lower on springs or coilovers?

Just a heads up with coil overs there is maintenance needed, I.e. check locking collars and keep the spring preload correct. If you like to set and forget, the h&r springs with f Sport shocks I think is a perfect drop for an AWD. I had h&r and the drop was great then I went to BC coil overs (which are the best for the money) and dropped it more but I did get leakage from my front CV boot due to the angle.

That's good to hear. Personally I think 25" is a great balance of looks and usability. I personally can't drive front in onto my driveway anymore cause it'll scrape so I back in nowadays. The roads here aren't so welcoming for slammed cars.
It is far from practical
SOrry for my stupid question bro, 25" mean 25cm ? and from which bumper to the ground ? front or rear ? i like the lower to kill the gap between fender and wheel, i don't want any headache may cause.
25" fender to ground which is the distance from the ground to the top of the wheel arch. I killed my fender gap lowering the front by 1.5inch and rear 1 inch.
