Default Weird screech issue with 07 2IS - HELP!!

Hi guys,

My car audio used to act up in that the audio simply would not work. After someone on these forums hinted it could be moisture related I managed to dry out the amp and things were working fine. Now, as of a couple of days ago a new issue has started, its a little hard to describe so here is a video clip of it -

Any help would be much appreciated!

Does it do that when using aux or cd?

If yes then maybe there's a faulty power wire running close or near your speaker wire. Do you have an aftermarket system at all?

Does it happen right when your deck is turned on?

Have you reset the ecu by unplugging your battery?

Dry out the amp? How did it get wet in the first place?

Sounds like your amp may have permanent damage. But before looking for a replacement, check to see that the grounds are good and tight and clean.

Good luck!

Yep, the sound comes on with the car and just stays on even when I turn the system off (in video). Only way to turn it off is to repeatedly turn it on and off at the moment - so completely random..

I have not unplugged the battery yet. Will get that a shot tonight. Thanks!

Edit: Also, it is a completely stock system.

Just from the humidity in the air I believe. There are no leaks as far as I can tell. I simply used a rice bag and a few small moisture absorbing bags to sort it out.

Really hoping thats not the case! These amps seem to be hard to find and are expensive!

Where would I check the grounds?

Thanks bud, thats what I am looking to do as well. I narrowed down the issue to one channel (front speakers) and disconnected that cable from the Amp. That just meant that I could take my time looking for a decent second hand amp. If you know of a good place that does international delivery, let me know!
