My injector tick is noticeably loud, i run 5w-30. Anyone have any input as to why it would be ticking so loud and any possible solutions?

 

Has it always been that was or u noticed it go louder recently? Our ticks on the car are normally pretty loud and noticeable... It's normal if it's nothing recent

 

i remember first buyin my use 250 didnt know there was a ticking till i got home and started to flip out lol

 

The direct injectors are loud, I was running the active test on my IS350 and I shut off the direct injectors and wow, it was basically silent. Pretty crazy.

So yeah, if it's not something new, chances are it's probably completely normal.

The 2GR-FSE is known to be loud. There was a friends 14 GS350 that was idling with the hood open and it was loud ticking...but normal.

Ahhhhh those DI engines...lol

 

Are we sure it's the direct injectors themselves OR the high-pressure fuel pump? The noise we're discussing always seem to just be coming from the near the throttle body area right where the HP pump is.
