Raced my IS350 vs IS-F last night..
Ive been wanting to buy an IS-F simply for the extra 2cylinders, and 100 more horsepower.
Well last night I wasn't to impressed with the outcome of our race. how much quicker should the IS-F be in the 1/4 mile? there could be some driver error especially seeing the IS-F running slower 60'ft. But trap speed should give a pretty good idea of what it's capable of.
my car is '07 IS350 with intake. Hers was '08 IS-F Stock
Keep in mind our track is 4470'ft altitude, so excuse the full second slower et's

I really don't see much more room for improvement. I basically got this thing dialed in as a bracket car. last two passes of the night were 14.257, and 14.268 with same 60'ft 2.21
might have to put on a nitrous kit with 35 shot to squeeze into the 13'S

Gearing is probably everything that slowed down the ISF, 8-speed vs 6-speed for top speed. The IS-F stock every where is only rated .8 seconds faster in the quarter mile

Nice. do you know if dry setup should be placed in front of the MAF sensor? i'm seeing a lot of setups with the behind the MAF sensor and I don't understand why.

All setups I've seen/read about on CL here is after the MAF. I still cannot believe the one member got away with a 100-shot dry setup without any issues. But he said he never did, except for having to reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery after using the 100-shot at times to remove the CEL.
I've considered a nitrous setup using a dedicated fuel tank for race gas :
