Default Raced my IS350 vs IS-F last night..

Ive been wanting to buy an IS-F simply for the extra 2cylinders, and 100 more horsepower.
Well last night I wasn't to impressed with the outcome of our race. how much quicker should the IS-F be in the 1/4 mile? there could be some driver error especially seeing the IS-F running slower 60'ft. But trap speed should give a pretty good idea of what it's capable of.

my car is '07 IS350 with intake. Hers was '08 IS-F Stock
Keep in mind our track is 4470'ft altitude, so excuse the full second slower et's

Both of you have much room to do better. But I do know that the elevation does play havoc with a vehicle's performance.

To make you jealous, take a look at my signature.

ya the elevation absolutely sucks. and most of the time our D.A. is closer to 6000-7500'ft.
I really don't see much more room for improvement. I basically got this thing dialed in as a bracket car. last two passes of the night were 14.257, and 14.268 with same 60'ft 2.21

might have to put on a nitrous kit with 35 shot to squeeze into the 13'S

Gearing is probably everything that slowed down the ISF, 8-speed vs 6-speed for top speed. The IS-F stock every where is only rated .8 seconds faster in the quarter mile

Yeah, add a bit of juice; it has been proven to hold up to 75 wet and even 100 dry shots without issue.

Wow 14.4 and 14.5. Some IS-F are not that fast my friends2009 best run is 13.3. I think my IS350 with I/M/E can hit 13.5.

After 1/4 IS-F with top end will smoke our IS350, but most street race are about 1/4 from stop light. On highway people usually don't go past 110 mph.

.8?? that's actually very impressive, and was what I was thinking. 8/10ths of a second for a 13 sec car is definitely equivalent to 100 ish HP. but I also thought there would be at least a 7-8 mph gap in trap speed.

Nice. do you know if dry setup should be placed in front of the MAF sensor? i'm seeing a lot of setups with the behind the MAF sensor and I don't understand why.

All setups I've seen/read about on CL here is after the MAF. I still cannot believe the one member got away with a 100-shot dry setup without any issues. But he said he never did, except for having to reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery after using the 100-shot at times to remove the CEL.

I've considered a nitrous setup using a dedicated fuel tank for race gas :
