IS250 Bogging... no CEL
So recently my is250 started to bog while at a full stop. It happened a few times a couple weeks ago but i didn't think anything was wrong because when i started stepping on the gas, it stopped. Tonight, i noticed the rpm idled at 500 rpm and my car started shaking a little, so i rev it up and it stopped. Check engine light is NOT on. Anyone here experienced this? could it be MAF? beginning of carbon build up?

Yea sounds like carbon build up. Hopefully not and if you still have warranted take it asap so they can inspect it. I have a 2012 and so far nothing but a quick shake up on red lights for about 1-2 seconds once in a while that's got me wondering if I will be experiencing the same issue in the future. I checked with the dealer and they say there's no recalls on that or anything else on my yea model.

I just got off the phone with Kuni Lexus of Portland, i explained to the service lady what's been going on and that it sounds like the beginning of carbon build. She said we'll have to run a diagnostic on my car and go from there. Then she told me it will cost me $140 an hour to do the diagnostic. I think I'm gonna wait a little...

If you're partial to a dealership performing services, I would look at your local Toyota dealership. Nine times out of ten they can perform the same service and it will end up being cheaper because of the lower labor rate.
