Default Replacing front spoiler lip

Evenin' all:

#1 son took out his IS250 last week and proceeded to drive it up onto a concrete parking space marker, cracking a chunk of the front spoiler lower lip. I got the part from parts.com and the installation looks straightforward enough (!?). Has anyone removed the lower lip (to replace a damage one or to replace it with a ground effects one)? Any hints/tips/tricks/warnings?

I installed the GFX lip on mine. It is as simple as it looks, merely a matter of unbolting the old one and bolting the new one back on.

Thanks. So, no liners under the engine to remove? How about those 5 little metal clips/tabs for the lip - did they come off and go on easily enough and were they fairly accessible?

If you're talking about the factory "lip", then all you'd need to do is get under it and remove the 7 screws? holding it onto the bumper AND front lower engine cover. No need to remove anything to access the screws or removing any additional covers to access the lip. When you get under there, you'll see it's pretty straightforward.
