Default Wheel bearing going bad?

My car is making helicopter noises, it also makes it when I turn my steering wheel to the right. Don't know how long it has been like this since its not noticeable with the windows up or radio on. Anyone know the cost to fix this on a 07 AWD?

Thanks.

I'm looking at an '08, the owner was quoted $1,600 to replace the wheel bearing (hub) at the Lexus dealer. I changed one on my GS350awd in my garage, $130 for the hub, four bolts held it in after getting the brakes out of the way (two bolts). Figure half an hour of actual wrenching, another half-hour of jacking and pulling the wheel and such.

Half shaft outer joint would make noise while turning sharp and moderate acceleration. Inner joint would be under straight acceleration and milder. Bearing usually makes noise when you are turning away from that side, loading it up. But experienced mechanics are occasionally fooled on which is bad.

If they are just noticeable, you are probably alright, but pay close attention to the sound getting worse.

Where in Michigan? I'm in Holland, probably buying an '08 tomorrow.

That is close, do you wrench on your car?

These are from my GS, a week before it was totaled. All the bolts come out from the back, two for the brake caliper and four for the hub.
