Default VSC light after hitting curb

Hi all,

Vsc light of my 07 Awd cam on after I hit the driver front tire against a curb. Please tell me this isn't something major. I'm going to have a shop diagnose the code tomorrow.

Please help

after they pull the code post it here - nothing anyone can do with that info. dont see how hitting just ur tire can make a vsc light but then again im not an expert

It might be one of the rear o2 sensors. I've seem many with broken wires because they hang low.

Any part of the curb go under the car? Only thing I can think of is the ABS sensor wire behind the hub perhaps getting damaged.

The code was C1290 which was abnormal zero point steering angle sensor. I assume this is an easy fix that I just need to get an alignment done? The steering wheel is indeed tilt to the side when driving straight.

Hopefully that works, in rare cases the rack would need replacing.

First time I've heard about that error code. You must have done a # on it! Good luck on the repair.

What was the final result? Did the alignment fix the issue?
