I have a 2009 IS250 with HID self leveling headlights. Was wondering if I can change over with aftermarket non self leveling headlights? Is the wiring harness the same or does it need modification?

 

Depends what kind of aftermarket headlights you are looking at. Could you post some more info on that?

I switched over to after market LED headlights and I have AFS as well. The after market obviously is not AFS so i just removed the AFS fuse to get rid of the blinking afs light.
aside from that it was plug and play for me.

 

I switch to LED aftermarket light as well from OEM AFS HID headlight. It's plug and play, however, you will lose AFS function (not a problem for me cause i never drive with my lowbean on - cause i love demon eyes look). In other hand, you will need after market HID kit as well cause the stock halogen is not bright enough.

P.S. during the swap, always remember to adjust the light level before putting everything back together -bumper, engine cover, headlight bolt. Otherwise, you have to take off everything to adjust it.

 

I have a 09 is250 with regular headlamps, will a newer headlamp with led's bolt right on or will I have issues?
