Default Viper remote start install not working properly. Help!

Hi everybody,

I have a 2007 Lexus IS250AWD and recently had a Viper 4806V installed by Best Buy. There are a couple problems with the installation and functioning. I have an appointment to get it fixed next week but want to help give the employee the information needed.
First, the car will turn off automatically after 60 seconds. I assume this has something to do with either a programming issue or a tach learning issue. The best buy installer stated he'd get this fixed for me.

The main issue is that the best buy installer bypassed the alarm when the car is remote starts. That means when I come to the car I can't just touch the handle to unlock the car or use the stock remote to unlock the car. I have to use the viper remote to unlock then get in.
This also means that when I get out of my car and push the black button on the door handle, I can no longer use the viper remote to lock and unlock my car. So if i'm in my house and forgot if I locked the car, I can't check with the 2 way remote.

While this is not a huge issue, I think it is something that best buy should be able to fix. The employee basically said that's how the alarm is supposed to work, so he wont even try to fix it. If anybody knows what to do to fix this issue, please let me know so I can tell him what works. He seems reasonable enough that he would do it.

Hopefully that made sense. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

thats how it will be. you will need to use two remotes. its a worthless mod. ive looked into this with some of the best installers for its just not worth it.

If the car is remote started with the engine is running, you need to use the Viper remote to unlock the car. The car's key doesn't work when the car is running.

When the car is not running, you should be able to unlock and lock the car with either remote or use the handle button. So this part is not right.

OK thanks I guess I'll just have to deal with using the other remote when I need to remote start. Hopefully he can figure out the automatic turn off after 60 seconds
