1 and 3 are the same. I prefer the OEM style but I've had both, I vote for spec-D/K2. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...omparison.html

I dont like #2 because it looks like the brake light does not extend to the trunk part. The trunk part is only for the parking lights

They do not, but neither do any OEM tails.

I would easily recommend the spec d tails to anyone. I've had mine for about 2 months almost now and they are still my favorite thing about my car. They compliment my Wald spoiler sooo well and can imagine going back to the stock lights. Trust me, they make a huge difference and so many other IS owners who have seen them in person love them.

I''ve been wondering if the clear version of the Spec-D lights would look better, especially at night. Whether or not it would accentuate the driving lights and brake lights more since there would be no red in the background. Like on the 3IS where the red surrounding the driving/brake lights is very dim or unlit, making the actual lighted part more vibrant/stand out more

Regardless of which model/color combo of the spec-d, at night the light bars glow to the point where they will look the same and not have the crisp lines as the 3IS. Nigel's version (#2) has crisper lines but is illuminated differently and has bright spots at the end of each light bar

I still haven't seen the Nigel in person but the Spec D are great. I still think it's the best mod exterior mod I've done to my car, even more so then the Wald. But with the Wald, my s4 play rep diffuser, it's just looks so damn good lol.

Trust me on the Spec D guys, they're great. They're brighter than stock too so your technically safer haha. And sorry for not responding earlier, haven't been on CL as much lately. But the links above should work you guys.

As for what color I think works best, it just depends mostly on the color of the car IMO. I have silver and think the red goes perfect with the car, especially since I have black accenting on the car everywhere. Black windows, black emblems , black calipers etc.. The Spec D has a black outline to them so the added black just flows great.

Don't know about the others but if you go with the Spec-D ones, you should seal them with some silicone before installing, look for all the exposed edges and put a bead of silicone on it.

Its been raining heavily here lately and I just noticed there is some condensation in my right rear taillight....bummer...Its the side on the trunk with the reverse light in it, the fender side seems ok..
If I can dry them out I will seal them afterwards.
Actually I should have known to seal all aftermarket lights, they are never quite as good quality as OEM.....
