Default missed shift oops suggestions

Well yesterday i was going home on my is250 m/t only had the car for a month and driven it for like 3 weeks. I'm a complete noob for manual cars and my shifter tends to lean towards the 1-2nd gear side when in neutral because the spring for that side is softer than the 5-6th side.

Thing is i shifted from 3rd to 2nd accidentally i do not know how it happened since i pulled straight down but apparently it was my noobness plus the uneven neutral position springs leaning towards 1-2nd what caused it.
I was at high rpm when this happened so my rpms shot up to god knows where (shot up off the tach) before i went to neutral as quickly as i could but my clutch got stuck pressed in but its not pressed since i couldn't engage gears. This made it hard to suddenly pull the shifter out of 2nd but i did in prob like a second. I didn't get a super screech from tires and forward lurch like most people describe what makes me think my clutch broke before going to extremely high rpms. I coasted to a stop with the car still up and running at idle and i had to push the car since the clutch wasn't working but the car ran fine idle and reving it up a bit with no CEL or any other lights no smoke no leaks etc.. Also no weird engine sounds that i could detect.

i think the pressure plate and the throwout bearing are shot and prob. the clutch took a super burn gonna take it to my mechanic to check what broke exactly on the clutch mechanism and have it replaced (oem clutch 80kmiles on it anyway) but since the engine didn't blow i think i should have the mechanic do a preventive compression test to check all the valves are ok to prevent any expensive damages? The car indeed revved prob. around 9k rpm I'm positive and it appears to be fine no rough idle (apart from a little vibration from i beleive is from mangled clutch components, i can feel coming from clutch pedal) just want to prevent serious damage...

thanks i appreciate any advice for the repair already took note on proper shifting techniques to prevent a second mishap.

We all learn, sometimes the hard way, when learning to drive a new standard trans vehicle. Each has their own quirks about them.

Sounds like the clutch or PP went out. Either way, the trans will have to be separated from the engine.

Good luck!

Before going to the expense of repairing clutch damage remove the oil filter & inspect for any debris from excessive wear that is common from a mechanical overrev like you had. You may need a new engine too! If it looks good proceed with a oil change, drain oil into a clean drain pan that allows you to inspect for any crap in the oil. (metal flakes)

thanks guys i took note on the checking the oil but the engine will probably be fine on the lower end since it starts up no problems or sounds.

I'm worried about the health of the valves like not sitting properly or weakened spring from the high rpms that may go unnoticed causing failure later down the road and will give me serious problems, so i think the compression test will cover that correct???

Also what can i do to fix my shifter leaning to 1-2nd gear in neutral position, i think this was the main cause for my accident since i pulled straight back and i really don't want this to happen again.

Thanks!

also has anyone used the spec stage 1 clutch with the stock flywheel? I really want to replace the heavy flywheel since its noisy and rev matching sucks when daily driving specially when driving uphill but i might not have the money depending on the extent of the repair.
