Default Transferring ballast

Hey CL, I plan to get a set of Sewell's stripped led headlight for my IS. I know I need to transfer the ballast over, however, wouldn't that require the complete dissemble of the headlight?

Because I seen videos of people taking the whole lens/cover off of their headlight in order to replace a burned ballast, therefore, wouldn't transferring it over to the new headlight require the same complete dissemble?

Not exactly sure what to do here, please help, thanks!

You either need to disassemble the headlight to get it out, or disassemble the bulb connector on the ballast and then reassemble it. Something is going to need to get disassembled, haha.

I always thought it was just the box with the yellow sticker on the back? I've never done a headlight swap on this car but from this photo it looks like you can just unscrew the ballast.

That cover with the yellow sticker is not the ballast, as a matter of fact you can't fully see the ballast in that image. The ballast is right underneath the wiring harness you see there and it's held on by 4 screws.

Disassemble the bulb connector it's easy shouldn't take more than 10 mins to transfer the ballast. I did it twice before
