Default Automatic door locks not working - 2008 IS250

I have a 2008 IS250 and about 8 months ago the rear left doorlock stopped working. The keypad and the unlock/lock switch inside the car stopped working. I've been having to do it manually. Then, about a week ago, the rear left back doorlock stopped working. I have to do them both manually. It's a pain, but my worry is that it will spread to the front and I won't be able to get into my car at all!

My questions are:

1. Is this common for the 2008 IS250?
2. Where should I look to get it fixed?
3. How much does something like this cost?

Any help would be appreciated. While it's not urgent, I think I am going to try and fix it.

Thanks!

Very common issue. It's the actuator on the door lock that's gone bad. My driver side door has been out for a few months now and I have gotten around to doing it because a replacement actuator is pricey and not sure if I could do it myself.

Here is a link to the DIY I found. You can find refurbished actuators on ebay.
